Rescue Operations

Our team plays a vital role in rescuing animals by responding to emergencies and providing immediate care to wildlife. They assess the condition of each animal, administer necessary medical treatments onsite, transport and work tirelessly sometimes days to catch these precious animals.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitators are compassionate guardians of nature, driven by a profound love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. They often find themselves on the front lines, responding to calls for help from the community, whether it's rescuing a coyote caught in a trap or tending to a fawn separated from its mother. With gentle hands and a nurturing spirit, they provide the care and comfort these animals desperately need, often forming deep connections with each creature they help. Their unwavering dedication embodies hope, reminding us all of the beauty and fragility of wildlife.

TAKE ACTION NOW
DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER
Assess the Situation:
The first step is to carefully observe the animal from a safe distance to determine if it is truly in need of assistance. Sometimes, parents are near by but hidden. Then, contact a local wildlife rehabilitator for specific instructions on how to proceed.
Who Do I Contact?
Reach out to a local wildlife rehabilitator/center, or wildlife agency. In Florida the list for rehabilitators by county is listed HERE, you can also contact FWC by:
  •  Using the "FWC Wildlife Alert" app
  • Texting 847411 (Tip411) with keyword "FWC" and information about the situation.
  • Calling the Wildlife Alert Hotline at (888) 404-3922 (888-404-FWCC)
For other states:They have the expertise to assess the situation and provide proper care. Listen to the advice given by wildlife professionals, as they may provide specific guidance on what to do next.
Provide Information:
When contacting professionals, be ready to give specific details about the animal (species, size, condition) and its location.
No one is answering, now what?
Avoid handling animals or baby wildlife with your bare hands, as they may carry various pathogens and parasites. Always prioritize safety. Some animals will bite or scratch to protect themselves. Follow this link for instructions on what to do while you are waiting for someone to contact you back.
